Review
Splittur 3.0 is an advanced file compression/splitting utility that is able to create customizable multi-volume "setup"-like packages out of ZIP and RAR archives as well as of single uncompressed files. The main difference of Splittur's packages from standard archivers' SFX modules is that they are very fast, very small and totally customizable (in WYSIWYG mode) from the banner image to the "About" box text. Another advantage is that all package files can be of virtually any format: EXE (self-extracting), RTF, JPG or any other depending on the stub you use, such packages will only need the freely available Weldur utility to get extracted. In the most cases such custom-stub packages will even retain their stubs' functionality: JPG files will be pictures, RTF files will be text; only their size will grow. Other features include sophisticated package encryption, ability to create desktop shortcuts, special characters for creating text and file name templates, etc. |
